Outdoor Halloween vignette and a pumpkin chandelier project

part one

Yesterday  I shared with you my easy gold/copper gilded pumpkins (instant glam!) today I want to show you what I did with those little beauties.
part one
My hubby took a paddle drill bit and drilled out the center of these little button pumpkins only large enough to fit a small votive candle ($1 for a large bag of these at the Dollar Tree!)
I rubbed the inside of the raw pumpkin with vasaline. I was told this would keep the pumpkin from rotting as fast.
Then simply place the votive down inside drilled hole.

And you have yourself a quick, easy, glamorous pumpkin votive for Fall or Halloween. This is a great project to line your dinner table with for a Fall feast, line your walkway for those sweet little trick-or-treaters. There are many many options and occasions to use these little fellas.

I decided to do something a little different.

Taking an old chandelier hung from a creepy old dead tree destined to be cut down soon, I took advantage of its crippled appearance to create a vignette for Halloween. Simply placing the pumpkins on top of each chandelier branch I created a fun play on outdoor lighting.

This chandelier didn't need much, but I decided to add a couple spider webs and one simple spider. Be sure not to go overboard with the faux webs and spiders. A little goes a long way!

An old chair, grapevines, some rusty accents, and my monogram pumpkin created another interesting place for the eyes to land.

My absolute favorite accent to decorate with on Halloween are these black crows ( $1 a piece at the Dollar tree) With such a simple accent these little birds bring an eery feeling that plays perfect with these other pieces.

Of course I love all Halloween decor alike. However, I think this vignette will be one you wont see anywhere else and is very much unexpected. I love it's abandoned haunted house feel and apparently I have a thing for creepy old chairs around this time of year.
