When I first started blogging I really didn't have any plans for where my blog was going to take me or the real "purpose" of why I was writing or sharing things.
I quickly realized after all the amazing e-mails and comments I received from YOU that I was an actual inspiration. I never realized that by sharing my love for decorating/rearranging/crafting/etc. could actual inspire other people to do the same.
It was then I decided to not only decorate and craft for myself, but to come up with new and innovative ways to decorate just to show YOU what you can also do in your own home. I take every day objects (even trash) and find new ways to repurpose them into beautiful decor.
Thank you all so much for accepting my crazy ideas and sharing your favorite things so that MY dreams can come true.
I remember my very first home, going out to purchase lots of magazines to see what my taste actually was and to get inspiration from others. I quickly realized I didn't have money to recreate a lot of what I saw. You know where I went with that. Did I let it stop me? No! I created my very own version using very little to no money. I hope to share my projects and help you or someone out there do the same.
Thank you a million times over and over to all of you out there who inspire me to inspire you and for sharing my ideas for others to see. Thank you Cottages & Bungalows for sharing my project for all the world to see!
Next time you are out and about pick up a copy of Cottages & Bungalows (November issue 2012-on stands now!) and see my faux outdoor mantel featured (Along with lots of other amazing ideas of course!!)

Hi Amy~
ReplyDeleteI just had to stop by and congratulate you on your feature in Cottages and Bungalows. I remember your original post and how utterly fantastic I thought it was. I don't think I'll ever forget the image of your chair in all it's porchy glory! I still think it's one of the best things I've ever seen.
The little wooden ornaments you made for Sophie and Henry are getting paint and stain this year.
Wishing you the very best,
Tina
