On facebook I shared my overwhelming excitement in finding this beauty
(fyi- This was the FB photo that led me to the Habitat for Humanity re-store , where I found it.)
Maybe this chandelier doesn't look like much to you. But, it is EXACTLY what I have been searching for , for so so so long. I know I will never be able to afford a beautiful crystal chandi. So, I've been scouring all the local shops for a glass "crystal" brass beauty that I might be able to afford. Instead, I keep finding these with a $200 or more price tag.
This one popped up on Facebook with a $45 price tag!! I packed the kids into the car and took the 1 1/2 drive to get it , right away!
With all the excitement I came home only realize it was way too big for my living room.
Do you think that is going to stop me? I think not.
I started taking it apart , determined to make it fit into our space. Luckily , it came apart very easily and transformed into a smaller light fixture without looking like it was missing pieces.
doesn't look like much without the crystals, huh? |
We hung the light up for easier painting, I cleaned all the glass crystals and then restrung them....which is not an quick task.
But, it was well worth it!
notice the back ground? A little sneak peak at my livingroom makeover!! |
Are you getting excited to see the rest of the space?
