kitchen update

The vote was unanimous : Grey base cabinets and white upper cabinets it is!

I let you, on Facebook ,decide what color my kitchen cabinets should be and I love what you chose! I also voted for the same color choice.

So, I woke up this morning and got right to it.

Removing cabinet doors,drawers, and hardware.
As I started sanding ( to ensure a good clean finish and adhesion ) I realized how big of a job this was going to be. Unfortunately , the cabinets weren't sanded before applying the green paint. Which means I had to sand all the way back down to the wood.
....This may take a while.

I did throw in a little unexpected surprise for you all, though!

I can't wait to show you the finished result!

  5. Oh what a nightmare! you had to remove someone else's bad, peeling paint? I hate it when people don't prime and I end up with their lazy work. Good luck!

  6. The gray and white are going to look so, so good together! I was out of town--in KY as a matter of fact--and so I missed the vote. But I would have voted for gray and white anyway...haha! And you can never go wrong with beadboard details--can't wait to see how everything looks.
