I've warned you all....
I'm pretty sure I have one piece of every single decade inside these bathroom walls.
Is there ANYTHING good about this bathroom?
no.
Blank drywall is the best thing in this space! It gave me a smidge of hope.
When I told you we bought a fixer-uper, you never imagined this . Did you?
Well, this is our guest bathroom. I am so embarrassed when someone says , "Can I borrow your restroom?" Even to the point where I want to say, " oh , haha, sorry, our plumbing isn't working. You'll have to go down the road to the gas station. "
So, I decided to do something about it.
I'm challenging myself!
You see, we just don't have the money to spend on a total bathroom renovation. Our money is already going towards other spaces. You know me , I have some paint laying around. Definitely have some decorations.
I challenge myself to redo this entire bathroom ....for...FREE!
Do you think I can do it?
No? yeah, well. Me either. But, surely I can come up with something! Or at least make it livable .

Totally random bathroom! haha! Not the worst I've seen though! It looks decently clean! I'm sure you can come up with something to turn this bathroom around! Lots of luck!

ReplyDeleteI know I should be kind and say this isn't the worst I've seen. But...it is the worst I've seen :). So funny! A challenge is sometimes oh so fun! Can't wait to see what a little paint and elbow grease can do!

I have total faith in your abilities and creativity, Amy! Can't wait to see what you come up with to beautiful this room--and it looks like a good-sized bathroom, so at least it has that going for it!
ReplyDeleteI actually really like the black & white tile...I think its just your (our) eye is so distracted and meandering to everything else, that it gets a bad rap! I had a pretty ugly bathroom, pink fixtures with flat taupe paint, (and 1 less coat than it needed)in our fixer-upper too. I feel your pain. You just get sick of looking at it after a while. I ripped ours out, and forgot to take pictures of the ugly-ness! 2 years later and our budget has not allowed us to finish it! - Good luck with it! I am sure it will be amazing when you are done.
