dreaded beach wear and fabric rosettes

So, I'm online searching for the dreaded beach wear...sigh.

Although I feel like dressing like this

I can't.

If you've been following along you would know that I've been trying to lose my "pregnancy weight." Yeah. I had my baby almost two years ago. I'm going to call it pregnancy weight. I don't care that you think I'm just "fat."

Without jinxing myself , I've been doing pretty good and I'm going down clothing sizes! I'll pause while you all give me a round of applause ....

Anyway, I've found some cute things that will make me look ultra chic and more importantly without looking like an ultra geek!

a cute summer dress

a must have big ol' floppy hat (There is a really cute pink one at Ghosts in the Attic!)

Wish me luck on my shopping adventures!

On another note: I finally tried my hand at making fabric rosettes and now I can't stop! I've made headbands, pony tail holders, pillows, and even a necklace.

  1. Ahh the dreaded beach wear. If only we could swim in the cute dresses.
I have the same addiction with the rosettes. I have made them in all kinds of fabric, my least favorite is burlap.

  2. I bought the BEST bathing suit at Lands End. It hides all the bad... and looks GREAT on.

My daughter is almost 3 lol... still have it to loose.

  3. I LOVE the necklace! So pretty! I like the beach hat too. Even if you just bought a flowy sun dress, that hat would glam it up instantly:)
And about the baby weight... too many women feel your pain on this subject including me! LOL! But what matters is not the time frame in which you lose it but that you keep trying!

  4. Isn't swimsuit and short shopping depressing after having kids? I finally found a cute one piece at Target so I was glad I didn't have to spend an outrageous amount somewhere else! Love the fabric rosettes, they are adorable :)
