I don't have to if I don't wanna ttthhhhpppp

The stores quit stocking Halloween before October

(well , it seems that way)

and goes straight to Christmas; Don't get me wrong. I LOVE Christmas. I'm just not ready for it. Although, all you Bloggers out there have been showing some LOVELY Christmas ideas. I'm just going to pretend I don't see them.

{grin.}

Where's Thanksgiving?

I walked through the stores yesterday trying to find some cute Thanksgiving decor for a table setting and I found one isle

ONE.

that contained "Thanksgiving" items...more like left over Fall items.

2025 isles containing Christmas.

(Me? Exaggerate?)

no.
I'm not decorating for Christmas.
I'm not doing it.

I am going to celebrate Thanksgiving.
I LOVE Thanksgiving
give thanks for all that you have and for the people you love
oh, and EAT!!!

Having no Thanksgiving items prompted my front porch vignette.
Thank you retailers

Can I ask a question?
Are some pumpkins actually white?
Hey! I saw you laughing!
quit that.
seriously, I keep seeing all these beautiful white pumpkins all over your blogs....

Well despite that (possibly) ridiculous question.....

Here's what I did:

I used ,from my Halloween vignette:

the three small pumpkins{painted white},
the one large pumpkin {painted it white and wiped on some mocha antiquing glaze},
twigs {also painted white},
floral moss ($1 from the dollar tree),
pine cones (picked up from my yard),

Used a vintage soda crate (craigslist find $2) and books for height , a lantern for interest and contrast.

with little to no cost, I have a cute little vignette for my front porch.

 HAPPY NOVEMBER!

I'd love to see your THANKSGIVING inspired decor!
(please tell me there's someone out there that hasn't decorated for Christmas yet!)

no rules; just link.

  1. Yes our stores are pretty bleak on Thanksgiving decor too. I'd say yours is better then any of the store decor I have seen though. Beautiful vignette! I love it!

  2. Come on over...you can hop in the mini van with us and we'll make it a Target field trip! :) BTW, if my hubs had it his way we would have started decorating for Christmas in September!
